My Bio

Don't worry...this will be brief.

I was born in Dallas, Texas where my family and I lived until I was 14 years old. It was at that time that we moved to Tyler, Texas. Except for a one year stint in Greenville, Texas, I have lived in and around Tyler for most of 40 years. I am a native Texan and proud of it. I attended high school at John Tyler HS and attended Tyler Junior College and The University of Texas at Tyler where I hold a Master's Degree in Industrial Technology.

My wife, Kathy and I have been married since 1982. We have three children and four grandchildren.

I work as a Web Developer/Web Technologist for Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals & Clinics in Tyler, Texas. I have worked for TMF for over 13 years in various Information Technology positions including Senior Programmer Analyst, Operations Manager and Lead Financial Systems Analyst. I have also worked with The University of Texas Health Center at Tyler where I was employed as a Programmer Analyst for almost 7 years. Both of these institutions are fine hospitals located in the East Texas area. To view my resume online, click here or click below for a PDF version.

Before getting into Information Technology, I worked in the field of television broadcasting. My hobbies include woodworking, computers and motorcycling. My biggest "claim to fame" (other than being on TV in News, Weather and Sports), is that I was very interested and active in the Year 2000 Remediation during 1996 through 2000. I had a well-known Year 2000 website full of information on how to test your PC and fix it if it wasn't Year 2000 compliant. Feel free to view the page here from my archives. Hits for that page and others on my website grew to over 500 a day (which at that time was extraordinary). Nationally, I was considered one of the top ten most knowledgeable Consultants in Year 2000 Remediation according to a Year 2000 poll conducted in San Diego.

So, there you have it...my life in a nutshell.

In March of 1996, I started this website with the hope of bringing some different perspectives to the world wide web. Over the years, the look and feel has changed but the intent with the content hasn't. I hope you enjoy my Website of the World.
